We are all aware that Pakistan has appeared in previous installments of the Call of Duty series, most notably Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops II and III. However, these games were released quite some time ago, and so, with the advancements in hardware, fans have wondered how the country would look in the latest iterations of the series. Zeeshan Ali, an artist at Zambeel Studios, recently uploaded a video to YouTube showing how he had transformed a street in Karachi, Pakistan, into an Unreal Engine 5 project. If it weren’t for the character models, you might not be able to tell that this is a render and not actual footage, thanks to the level of detail. So much so that, a casual observer might not even notice anything unusual among the stores, the historic structures, and the passing cars. You can watch the video down below:
Burns Road appears to be the setting for this video, which is a street that can be found in the older part of Karachi, an area of the city that is well-known for its diverse selection of traditional foods. Old British structures are a fitting reflection of the area’s status as one of Karachi’s oldest neighborhoods. Despite the fact that this is not a playable project, and that the developer has not commented on this matter, we are unable to rule out the possibility that this will be incorporated into something else. Still, it is still a great effort to show off the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5, and it lets the fans know what Karachi would look like if it were played on a next-gen console. According to the artist, the entire process took about two months. The developer has promised that the assets and custom 3D models are in development and will be released on the channel in the near future (will be paid, of course). To think that Unreal Engine 5 can do all this, and that its successor will be even more powerful, and that we will be so close to recreating reality that no one will be able to tell the difference, is mind-boggling. Let us know in the comments what your favorite part about the footage was, and what changes do you wish to see in this project.
