Ryzen 7000 V-Cache
Intel’s Raptor Lake has proven to be quite the challenge for the AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs. However, as we all know the Zen4 V-Cache counterparts are AMD’s trump card against Intel. These CPUs feature stacked L2 cache which drastically improves gaming performance. In some cases, the last-gen 5800X3D (Only X3D CPU as of now) demolishes the i9-13900K. This technology is so good that even the latest and greatest Ryzen 7000 CPUs fail to beat it. Based on the information Harukaze gave us, it is clear that we’re looking at a minimum of 3 V-Cache equipped Zen4 SKUs;
Ryzen 9 7950X3D | 16 Cores / 32 Threads | 2 CCDs for 192MB of Total L2 Cache (64 L3 Base + 128MB L2 Stacked )Ryzen 9 7900X3D | 12 Cores / 24 Threads | 2 CCDs for 192MB of Total L2 Cache (64MB L3 Base + 128MB L2 Stacked)Ryzen 7 7700X3D | 8 Cores / 16 Threads | 1 CCD for 96MB of Total L2 Cache (32MB L3 Base + 64MB L2 Stacked)
The above-mentioned specifications assume that AMD will stick to the previous 64MB per CCD design.
Frequencies
Similarly, all Ryzen 7000X3D variants will have the same clock speeds as their non-X3D counterparts. As an example, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D had a base frequency 400MHz lower than the standard 5800X. However, Harukaze does mention that these frequencies could be ‘almost same’.
- Three Ryzen 7000X3D model is confirmed. 16/12/8C. But about 8C model, it isn’t determined model name whether7700X3D or 7800X3D
- Unlike Zen 3 3D, clock speed will be same or at least almost same.
- It is expect Jan 23. So CES. 1/n — 포시포시 (@harukaze5719) December 2, 2022 Furthermore, popular hardware analyst Hassan Mujtaba adds that all X3D SKUs will have a TDP of 170W. This signals that overclocking may be enabled on these CPUs because ‘stacked cache’ cannot consume upwards of 70W on SKUs like the 7700X3D. Since we do not know much about the actual X3D design this time around, we can only make assumptions as to how and why the power limits are this high.

Pricing
All The Watts claims that the Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs will be announced at CES and will retail sometime around March. The clock speeds will be ‘similar’ to normal which coincides with Harukaze’s statement. In addition, the jump from Zen4 -> Zen4X3D will be similar to Zen3 -> Zen3X3D. As for the pricing, the 7950X3D will cost $799, the 7900X3D will come in at $549 and the 8 core 7700X3D will be priced at $449,
Currently take original 5000 MSRP. Currently CES announce & available around March. All clock similar to normal. Same perform jump 5800X3D compare to normal. — All The Watts!! (@All_The_Watts) December 2, 2022
Release Date
Last but not least, we have been given a release date of January 2023 (CES). This has been the expected release date for a while and it seems things are going according to plan for AMD.
